Last RPL season was with a lot fixed matches. Exchanges 3/3 (Luch-Samara, Luch-Tom, Luch-Rostov, Tom-Samara), “strange” mistakes of referees (two home matches Tom with Spartak and Zenit, some matches CSKA and Loko, Shinnik was killed by referees (about 5-6 canceled clear goals+penalty for opponents), almost in all rounds was scandals with referring, at ending champ often result was very expected before match CSKA-FC Moscow 2:1, Tom-CSKA 0:1, Rostov-CSKA 1:2, Luch-CSKA 0:4, Rostov-Spartak 3:4 etc, think Shinnik sold some matches to Rubin, Zenit etc. Giner is president of CSKA and he really can do a lot. Possible to say he is legend of RPL. President Loko Filatov sacked, so for Loko will be now hard to work with referees. They have stabile and very solid squad: possible the best young Europe goalkeeper Akinfeev, trio defenders of Russia NT brothers Berezuckie+Ignashevich, best defensive mid of champ Rahimich (Bosnia), fast young and dangerous wingers Zirkov (Russia NT) and Krasic (Serbia NT), Brazilian NT candidates in central mid Dudu +Carvalo and imo best attacking pair of champ brazilians Jo+Vagner Love. Good level coach Gazaev. CSKA lost at preseason forw Olic and certainly its blow. He often start from bench, but always can great replace any forw and played on 100%. Was sign young and talented turkish winger Caner and brazilian mid Ramon, but they start from bench so far. Certainly their main plus is president Giner. CSKA has only 4 budget at league (40-50), but all used on 100%. Problems: short bench, only 2 forws at squad (Vagner was at Brazilia and CSKA can’t scored at 4 matches, was kicked from Cup and UEFA Cup, he now in squad and CSKA won Mega Cup 4:2 Spartak), team after all wins now looked not motivated, specially Brazilians, traditional poor performance at road (hard to score, though Rostov and Samara at cup outplayed CSKA even at Moscow), at last champ cant win against main opponents (think due to motivation), defense work with mistakes (overish at home matches). Imo most over-rated team of RPL (due to all title), often they played not better Loko and Spartak (equal points with Spartak in ending last champ). CSKA won last title due to more stabile and some help of Giner. In any case team with biggest potential, but often they play not more 50-70%. Purpose: 1 Prediction: 1-2 Zenit Sankt-Petersburg Main sponsor of Zenit is Gazprom. They made from Zenit new Russian “Chelsea”, buy for crazy money mid Dominges from Rubin (creative mid and very impressive, then he in-form Rubin trashed any opponents 3:0 home Zenit, 5:0 away FC Moscow), Russia NT forw Pogrebnjak from Tom, good level mid Zyrjanov from Torpedo, and defensive mid Timoshuk from Shahtar (20 mln $). They and at last champ has solid squad and sometimes estimates higher Spartak and Loko, think now its main opponent of CSKA. Very solid attacking line Dominges-Arshavin-Pogrebnjak (Tekke). Prediction: 1-3 Purpose: 1 + won cup for Europe tickets Spartak Moscow Spartak start season with same squad. Only they sold two argentineans def Rodriges and forw Kavenagi. At last moment was sign goalkeeper Pletikosa from bench Shahtar. Team in fact have only one good level forw Pavljuchenko, who now injured. Main problem of Spartak is defense, goalkeepers (but now sign Pletikosa) and they not used a lot goal moments, head coach Fedotov imo not enough level (possible will sacked) also president not enough good. Spartak traditionally play in attacking style, good home performance. Team already was kicked from UEFA Cup by half-reserver Celta, lost both matches to CSKA (2:4 SuperCup, 2:3 AET final first channel cup), was lucky at Siberia on cup 3:1. Now team played not more 50%, bad form. Now some fans want to absolut change squad and new coach. Team certainly have potential, at last season acted in many matches not weaker CSKA. But so far they are poor. They have good enough bench, some talented young players. If they will sign at summer 2-3 players good level they has good chances minimum to repeat last season result. Prediction: 1-4 Purpose: 1 Lokomotive Moscow Loko start season with new head coach Byshovec and almost same squad (sign some middle level players). Imo Byshovec is good enough specialist, was good results with Tom and Zenit in past. He is difficult man, but can make result. He like defensive closed footy, think Loko will be away and under team with him. Old coach Muslin at last champ fight with this squad for title, Loko of Byshovca also have some chances. Team with biggest budget (70mln). Their problems in squad: not first goalkeepers (new sign Pellitsoli?), central def and need second forw. But main their problem is owner Lipatov, he not footy man, but try to participant in all (transfer politic, sacked president Filatov etc). Squad is not enough for fight for title and possible will have bad start. But if they will use potential on 100% + some summer transfer, chances are. Prediction: 1-5 Purpose: CL (2) teams who have real chances on medals.. they can adequately resist to leading clubs.. not the big difference between them in good form and big 4.. Possible sensations FC Moscow Most young and unpopular team of Moscow. Team of businessman Belous and mayor Moscow Luzkov. They have good ambitions, 6 budget of RPL, and squad. They sign forw Krunic (Tom), def Topchu (Kuban), def Epuryanu (Sheriff), def Gubnic (Sigma) and lost imp forw Kirichenko to Saturn. At last season they was specially good in matches with big teams. Kirichenko possible to replace, argentineans very impressive. Young coach Sluckiy now more experienced. On start season they already show good performance. Imo they better in this season and I wait good result from them. Prediction: 3-6 Purpose: medals + won cup for Europe tickets FC Saturn Ramenskoe Team from Moscow surburbs, about 50km from Moscow. Second season for head coach Weiss at Saturn. At previous Saturn show some good results with big teams, but their main problem was o lot draws and poor offense. They can’t good performing after walls of defense outsiders at home field. Saturn is typical away team with best goalkeepers and defense of RPL. Now they sign forw Kirichenko, another forw Jakubko recovered after long term injury. So now they have 3 good forw (also Gyan). Think now they will play more offensive. Team with 5 budget of league, with good ambitions. They also sign two good midfielders Karjaka from bench Benfica and best player of Nalchik last year Gogua. Certainly all wait better season from Saturn. Now Weiss does not have right to a mistake. He good coach so think Saturn can surprise in this season. Prediction: 3-8 Purpose: medals another teams are about one level.. possible to wait any sequence in result table.. newcomers soon surprise all.. last season Nalchik (main candidate at relegation, after 10 rounds was 1 with 4 points hands and after all matches with leaders), Anzi, Sokol Saratov, Rubin..they fight for medals in first season Middle table 4 teams Dinamo, Rubin, Samara, Luch about equal for me.. Dinamo Moscow Moscow team with good traditions, but in last time they always have a lot problems. Fedoruchev sold Dinamo. So possible now team will have stabile period. At last season they have good squad and problems with payments. From last year squad they lost imp mid Smertin and forw Derley and some another players. Fans believe in young coach Kobelev and wait good season. Transfer politic is poor so far. From new good signing only forw Pimenov, returned Tanasevic from rent in Rostov. Squad is average and short bench. Only central of midfield looks solid with Semshov (Russia NT) and Danni (one from best mid). They have in fact only 2 forwards normal level, and similar will play with one forw. But so far midfielders scored normal. They have some good players and possible wait normal performance. But now they looks weaker Saturn and FC Moscow. Prediction: 5-10 Purpose: no purpose from management, players hopes on first 5.. Rubin Kazan Team is from middle Volga, capitals of muslim Tatarstan. They already 2 season at high places at table (5 and 4). The main merit in it of trainer Berdyev. All wait from them a recession, but they continue to fight for high places. Team without big potential. Think possible recession will in this year. So possible they will a little weaker in this season, at last season 5 was max result for their potential. Lst season has problems at offense. They traditionally show great performance at home specially with big teams (at last season 3:0 Zenit, 1:0 CSKA, 2:1 Spartak), at away they another team. Prediction: 6-10 Purpose: Europe zone Kryla Sovietov Samara Also team is from middle Volga (they have with Samara some derby). They save last season squad, only change a coach. Gadziev who has conflict with president Baranovskiy was sacked (possible due to fixed mathces), now with team Oborin work. Also good level coach (ex-Amkar). He like defense footy, Amkar with him will home team, under + a lot draws. At last season Samara have only one win at away. Think Samara will show about same footy. Main their problem is short bench and injured of key players mid Gusin. Possible they will a little better last year. At matches at cup this CSKA they was impressive. Prediction: 6-11 Purpose: 6 Luch Vladivostok Team is from Far East. And they on 100% use their location. After home matches they at once go to Europe part. Now they have 10 matches at first half at home so they will no so often fly. Imo home factor is a little overrated for Luch. They was unlucky at some matches at away + 3/3 + accident (injures, reserver squad etc). For example, last season result their reserver home 9 2 4 25 – 21, away 3 3 9 11 – 26 (something like another). For reserve teams who played at night on Moscow time and right after flight its much more difficult to play at Vladivostok. Big teams will sure play at win at Vladivostok. Luch sign some players like gk Cech (Sparta), gk Chihradze Novkovich, Kralevski, Kirovski (OFK), Voidel, forw Stojanovic (Brussel). So they a little better in this season, specially at gk line. Wait about same performance from them, may be a little weaker due to second season at RPL and now teams already more experience in fly to Vladivostok. Their squad nothing special in fact. Prediction: 7-12 Purpose: 5, Europe tickets a small difference between middle team and low mid + relegation.. Low mid + relegation zone FC Rostov Rostov on Don Team is from South of Russia (some derby with Kuban). They have middle budget and middle ambitions. They will play with about same squad, only sign forw Pjanovic, settled conflict with forw Buznikin, changes gk + some signs at defense. So now they are a little better last season. At last seasons they in general fight for relegation, not wait anything special in this season from them. Squad is average, excepÈ›ional at middle and they lost imp Peres. Rostov is team of mood, they played good with favs, can make sensation (2:1 away win CSKA, 1:1 away Zenit etc). And they are away team, counterattack team. Prediction: 9-13 Purpose: middle table + cup Amkar Perm Team is from North Ural. They have a small budget, but use money on 100%. Team sign some good players mid Peev (Dinamo Kiev), def Milavanovic (Makedonia), mid Soldevlinja (Spain), mid Drincic (Gazient), def Gaal (Hayduk). Their coach Rahimov good level for me and I wait good performance from this team in this year. Team traditionally very strong at home artificial field with outsiders. If at last year they were very defensive, now similar they change tactics. So far not the all defenders ready to play. At last season they already made some sensations. All Perm wait good season from team. At cup games they were no so serious, but first round shown their real force. Prediction: 9-15 Purpose: 10 Kuban Krasnodar Team is from South Russia, newcomer. They have good support at home, always a lot spectators at home matches. Newcomers often at Russia show nice performance at first season. They have a solid budget, good and deep squad (some candidates to Russia NT) and coach. Think good season will wait to them. Only worries its similar at team is no good management, many different representatives also not present the consent, many conflicts. They sign gk Gabulov (CSKA), mid Layzans, forw Gogniev, forw Asildarov return to team, lost def Topchu to FC Moscow. But similar transfer politic was without head coach. Possible team will make some sensations. Prediction: 9-15 Purpose: 10 FC Tom Tomsk Team is from Siberia. At last season they have money troubles, now they lost key forw Pogrebnjak, def Skerla, mid Krunic, Veic not want play at Tom. They sign 3 players from Nalchik (average level)+ some poor. They certainly weaker in this year. Tomsk very solid at home field. At last season they lost only to CSKA in fix and Amkar (money crisis). They have a good referring at Tomsk. Team have 1.5 squad, but not enough level. Main their problem offense will imo. They have purpose 5 place, but its almost unreal. They were poor at start champ. If they will not solve money problem, they will main candidate on relegation. Prediction: 10-16 Purpose: 5 FC Khimki Team is from Moscow surburb. In fact its Moscow. Team is newcomers, without history and spectators, but with help of Moscow area gubernator. They sign some good player at preseason like Chech (Austria), forw Blatnjak (Hayduk), def Trivunovic (Bosnia). So they have more or less ok squad, also can make surprise. Some old players are at squad. Only their head coach Kazachenok is not skilled. According to preseason matches offense will their main problem. Prediction: 10-16 Purpose: players said about 10 place Spartak Nalchik Team is from Caucus, main candidate on relegation. They lost all squad at preseason (about 9-10 players of main team) due to all contracts were sign on 1 year. They sign some unknown players from low divs, reservers and benches another teams. Main sign is brazilian forw Ricardo de Silva. At last season they also were main candidate on relegation and became in result main surprise. Now again only hope is coach Krasnozhan. Nalchik sure now weaker last season, but according first round they are no so bad. A lot players were signed in last moment and need time to creat command. Prediction: 14-16 Purpose: avoid relegation |
