ew season starts in Greek super league, the things are more or less known to the most of you. Panathinaikos, Olympiakos and AEK will fight for the title and the champions league while PAOK, Aris, Xanthi, Atromitos, Panionios, OFI run behind them for UEFA. Tripoli, Levadiakos, Veroia, Larisa, Iraklis, Kalamaria, Ergotelis have to fight in the zone. Let's analyze the teams with the above view:

Places 1-3

Olympiakos, Panathinaikos and AEK have to fight till the end for the title. Olympiakos sold two best players, top player Rivaldo and important young winger Castillo. They signed with many players but the most important is that they still don't have the specialist for some direct free kick like Rivaldo was last seasons. Kovasevic in attack, Konstantinou still here, good defender Antzas from Xanthi, Raul Bravo from Real, Lua lua and 4-5 other nice guys. They didn't impress in the friendly matches but still the most expirience team in mega league.

Panathinaikos try to steal Olympiakos' f*cking road. Karagkounis and Fissas are back, nice black attacker N'doye signed while they didn't miss some important player so far. The important new is that Panathinaikos return in their 'home'. Small and hot stadium which will be extra full in the top matches.

AEK is for one kind of people the nice underdog for the champion. President and coach loved from fans, fans bought many season tickets, team will most probably be in UEFA cup so no big tiredness. Rivaldo signed from Olympiakos, Aruabarena from Villareal, Ascarate from Atl Madrit, nice player Ensaliva and young fast winger Papas. The only sure is that AEK will play nice soccer this season but is unknown how far they can walk in standing.

Places 4-9

They will be far away from the top 3 teams. The last seasons champion Oly is around 15-20 pts difference from 4th and down.

Latin dancer Aris will try to do the same like last season. Playing nice soccer and finishing in UEFA spots. Around 10 new Latin guys on team will meet the old ones, making an fast and fantazy way of play. Full stadium, and more or less should finish in top places again.

PAOK singed with Vrizas, Udeze and Lakis. Salmon, Knol, Snaucer are part of team also. Missed best attacker Mieciel, good defender Barkauan and captain Zagorakis became president and stop playing. Many fans at stadium, good climate. Should finish without problems in UEFA places.

Xanthi, Atromitos, OFI and Panionios should run behind Aris and PAOK. OFI singed with two good defenders while they didn't miss some important one. OFI started the preparation early due to the Intertoto games with Tobol when they kicked out.

Panionios overcame Olympiakos at theirs home 2-1 last weeks. They played quit well, so seems they have the solutions to make an game hard for the top teams. Kapetanos, Koumorzi, Skoufalis are the most important transfers while Ensalive went to AEK and important Breska to Zilina.

Xanthi singed with Digkozis and Valla while missed many good players in all the lines. Don't know if they fight till end for UEFA spot but they don't have the team to go down in 2nd league. I don't know if they will be underish for one more season. Theirs' friendlies been up and down with goals and no.

Atromitos with Oyos in bench like coach singed 7-8 latin guys. Unknown team but Luciano still and he knows the stuff in middle area. No team to go down in 2nd but will be hard to finish in top 5.

Places 10-16

Larisa full stadium, important home wins, poor traveller makes them unstable for this season. They missed important players like Basila and Aloneutis in Cottbus and 2-3 others like Digkozis and Gavrilopoulos, Ancue etc. They didn't make good transfers that makes the fans afraid for the 07/08 season.

Iraklis will have problems. Coach sucked days ago, new one came. Fans angry, many players left, empty stadium and unknown things in presidents chair.

Kalamaria low volume in transfer period. Missed 2-3 players, singed some others with the most important to be the attacker Lanaris from Veroia. Should walk in low places, maybe they will go down at the end.

Ergotelis like Kalamaria. No big things so far. Singed with Grammozis from Essen while missed Iachuk who went to Cercle Brugge. I will set them with Kalamaria as the favory to go down.
Levadiakos, Veroia and Tripoli are newcomers.

Tripoli with money and many good players. Lost 2-3 important ones but singed with many others who should help them to avoid the zone. The only but is that the team have no expirience in super league.

Veroia came back to 1st league after many years. They agreed with 6-7 (unknown) players while they lost important players like Kavakas, Lanaris, King, Nasiopoulos etc. Hard work for them also.

Levadiakos back to super league after an year absent. Singed with many unknown latin players and missed some also. The most important loss is that keeper Zafeiropoulos who has many faculties.

I know that the first matches giving us the most important things and all those written above are just theory. Hope helped at least for those who like to know some things around the teams
